Timothy Brown EdSquad

Timothy Brown is an Australian choreographer, performer and educator who has worked throughout Australia, Europe and Asia. He has choreographed for Australian dance companies, leading dance schools and independent artists, including creating major dance works for Expressions Dance Company and over ten ballets for both Queensland Ballet and Queensland Ballet's Professional Year. Most recently, Timothy was invited by David McAllister to create a new work for The Australian Ballet's Bodytorque season for new and emerging choreographers.

Timothy danced soloist and principal roles while at The Australian Ballet School and Queensland Ballet; he has fond memories of dancing pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has also danced technically demanding roles in contemporary works such as William Forsythe's Approximate Sonata and Natalie Weir's The Gathering. In addition to his work as a freelance choreographer and educator, Timothy also holds the position of Co-Artistic Director of Ballet Theatre of Queensland.
